Monday. Hellooo my human friend, and welcome back!
Are you ready for your first adventure? Yes? Well, then let’s get started! (If no, you can put down this book.) It all started when I was playing outside, waiting for licka to come home, when she pulled up into the driveway and walked up the front step. “Hey, bone-bone!” She said cheerfully.
I rolled in mud, happy to see her. She opened the door, going in. I went with her, still covered in mud. I looked back to see how big the mess was so that Mama Bone wouldn’t be mad. Little did I know there was no mess, even though I was covered in mud from head to toe! Being the curious mutt I am, I decided to solve the case! I decided that Mama Bone could’ve seen the mess before me and she could’ve cleaned it up in an instant. Oops! Diary, I think I might be awake formost of the night!
Tuesday, June 9, 2026 Diary
I have some big news! I just figured out that Mama Bone didn’t see the mess! I didn’t see her complaining like she always does when I leave a huge mess! Sooo…I have good news and bad news! The good news is: I have a clue now! The bad news is: I will get a scolding from Licka’s parents for sleeping on her bed! (Also they’ll call me a bad sausage dog.) If it wasn’t Mama Bone, it was probably Junior, Licka’s brother. He loves playing in mud, so he probably rolled him self up in it. I have another clue on my list! (Junior also loves me, so he probably thinks I owe him.)
I’ll find out tomorrow.
June 10, 2026 Diary
I figured it out! I was covered in dirt, not mud! What a twist! The “mud*” fell of me when I went up the stairs! I know that because I went in the backyard to investigate this morning, and it was actually dirt!
That wraps up my case! (Oh, by the way Licka has a day off today, since she’s sick.)
Diary, this is great! I’m amazed by my good luck! Licka is sick, but Mama Bone and Popa let me sleep on her bed! Yippie yay, Yippie Yay, my good luck day! Whoo! Diary will be partying all night!
(But not on poor Licka!) My next book is coming out tomorrow! Stay tuned**!
